Tuesday Trivia
I'm very proud of how much work I put into today's hidden theme, which means someone's probably going to guess it immediately. (Cat got it.)
1. A veteran catcher mentors a rookie pitcher. (Solved by Melville.)
2. The brothers are a future governor and a former dispatcher. (Solved by Cat.)
3. Based on a children's fantasy novel, which was the first written but the second chronologically. (Solved by Cat.)
4. The lead actor really did have his chest waxed, which he later described as "unnecessarily painful." (Solved by Melville.)
5. "We have killed Babylonians! We have killed Mesopotamians! But we have never had the pleasure of killing an Akkadian." (Solved by Melville)
6. An army training program for psychic spies. (Solved by Cat.)
7. The stuttering animal lover accidentally kills three terriers. (Solved by Melville.)

15 Strifemonger(s):
2. ...Twins??
Twins it is.
And going out on a limb here, is 3 The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe?
Quite a sturdy limb you've got there.
#1 Bull Durham.
#4 The 40 Year Old Virgin.
#7 A Fish Called Wanda.
This is going much faster than I thought it would...
6. Men Who Stare At Goats
It's looking to be a Cat/Melville shutout. Any thoughts on the theme?
Theme: Signs of the zodiac?
Bingo.
Woo hoo! *proceeds to terrify coworkers by dancing the Dance of Joy*
Nice theme.
I tried to think of movies with crabs, rams, and water-bearers, but got nowhere.
#5 is The Scorpion King
I tried to think of movies with crabs, rams, and water-bearers, but got nowhere.
Same here. And I couldn't find a good archer film, either.
The great British filmmakers, Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, billed themselves as "The Archers" in their movies' credits, but I guess that wouldn't count.
Wouldn't have worked this time around, but I'll definitely keep it in mind for the future. (I can see Zodiac-themed trivia in the future where titles have nothing to do with it.)
